Choose IMVU Tools, Second Life or General Tools from the menu. Tool cards explain their purpose, supported platforms and current access. Start with one small task, keep your original files and check the result before using it in-world.
No. Your member account and a public creator listing are separate. Use Join Launch 100 to submit the profile details you want displayed. Applications go to a private review queue; they do not publish automatically.
Apply for a free directory listing ↗IMVU and Second Life creators, models, bloggers, event hosts, room owners and agencies can apply. Choose the role that best describes your work, provide a working public link and use an image you own or have permission to share. Basic listings are free and reviewed before publication.
Browse the creator directory ↗The creator directory lists people and brands; it is not an automatic tool-upload service. To suggest a tool for the toolkit, send its public link, what it does, who it helps and whether you own it through Contact. Suggestions are reviewed and inclusion is not guaranteed.
Suggest a tool ↗Contact VRTL Index with your public listing link and the requested correction or removal. We may ask you to demonstrate control of the linked profile before changing it. Do not send passwords, recovery codes or identity documents in the form.
Request a listing change ↗Use Sign in in the header, then choose email sign-in or Continue with Google. Once signed in, Member Home brings together your tools, directory application and support links. An existing free account does not need a paid plan.
Open Member Home ↗No. Image and file tools that explicitly say they run locally keep that processing in your browser. Member accounts, submitted forms, AI requests and external lookups use online services. Read the individual tool’s processing note before entering private information.
Send the page URL, your browser or device, the steps you took and what happened instead of the expected result. A short error message helps. Remove private chat, passwords, payment details and other people’s personal information from any example.
Report a problem ↗Start with the Second Life hub for the LSL helper, LindeX estimator and destination directory. Shared tools can help prepare textures, banners, catalogs and Discord announcements. Always test generated assets in the viewer and use the current platform upload requirements.
Second Life creator guides ↗Keep a copy of your original script. Review generated code, put it in an object you are allowed to modify, save it and read the compiler messages. Test the stated trigger and reset behavior in a suitable test location. Examples are starting points, not proof that a script is correct for every linked object.
Open the LSL helper ↗Do not treat the outputs as interchangeable. The Normal & Shine tool estimates normal maps and IMVU shininess from an image. It does not export a complete Second Life PBR material. Check the target material workflow and preview the result in your viewer before publishing.
Explore shared texture tools ↗No. It is a planning estimate based on the displayed rate and fee assumptions. It does not place an order, withdraw money or guarantee a payout. Review the actual exchange and process-credit quote in your Second Life account before confirming a transaction.
Read the LindeX guide ↗It is an early beta prototype. The editor can prepare copyable text and formatting, but real platform testing is still in progress. Use the review link shared with you, keep backups and report unexpected results. A wider public release will follow review.
Use plain text for an IMVU room description. Choose Classic homepage HTML only for a panel that supports HTML. Choose BBCode only when the destination explicitly supports those tags. The preview illustrates your choices; it is not a guarantee of how another platform renders them.
Export a preset before changing devices or closing an embedded session. Import that preset to restore your inputs. The full workspace can also save a browser-local draft where storage is allowed; the embedded version may not. A downloaded preset is the portable backup.
No. You review the preview, copy or download the output and paste it into the supported field yourself. Keep a copy of the previous description or HTML so you can restore it. The tool never signs in to IMVU or Second Life for you.
Keep the room name, a short welcome and the most important rule. The plain-text room mode shows the 255-character limit documented for IMVU mobile rooms. Shorten the text instead of using formatting tags to work around the limit, and verify the saved result in IMVU.
Event Desk is free to open and use without a VRTL Index account. Optional setup assistance is a separate €5 service for one event. Platform access requirements and any IMVU or Second Life charges are separate from VRTL Index.
No. The script needs an IMVU Live Room with eligible scripting access. In IMVU Web room decoration mode, look for the </> scripting button. IMVU describes room scripting as a VIP-only alpha; a VIP subscription alone does not establish that your room/account has access. Check eligibility before requesting paid help.
IMVU scripting access instructions ↗No. Event Desk targets IMVU’s room scripting environment. It is not an LSL script. Second Life creators can use the site’s shared image and Discord tools, and explore the dedicated Second Life tools and guides.
Explore Second Life tools ↗The public builder generates v2.4 beta. Browser generation has been checked, but that does not certify behavior in a live IMVU room. Run a private test with willing participants before a public event. The v2.5-rc1 updater is not part of this release.
Fill in your event replies and trusted-host CIDs, export a preset, then build and download the Lua script. Back up your existing room script. Stop old copies and replace the complete contents in IMVU’s script editor; do not append the new script below the old one. Save and Start, then use !status. Run only one combined copy.
The public builder’s starting preset leaves automatic rotation, anti-spam, welcomes, recurring reminders and exact-question triggers OFF. The product guard also starts OFF. Explicit event replies remain available when included. Check !status after every restart. Older standalone guides may describe anti-spam as ON; those defaults do not describe this website’s beta preset.
The builder contains starter text, not your event’s real schedule. Replace the event, theme, hashtag, schedule and game replies before using the script. Include a timezone in your schedule. Disable topics you do not need, then generate a new script and test !help.
Choose Save preset to download your settings as JSON, and use Import preset to restore them. Keep the generated Lua and preset together. The embedded workspace may not have access to browser storage; a browser draft is not a backup. Opening the full workspace can enable local drafts where your browser permits them.
No. Your installed script stays as it is until you replace it. For an update, keep a backup, import your preset into the current builder, review the settings, generate a fresh script and repeat your private tests before replacing your public-event copy.
Use an ordinary willing guest as the tester; the owner and configured trusted hosts are exempt. If rotation is included, send !wait 1 and then !autorotate 1 as separate commands at least two seconds apart. The tester can check !remaining. Observe the move to Viewer and waiting period. End the test with !autorotate off, then restore the settings you actually want.
No. !timer schedules a reminder message. !autorotate controls eligible Presenter turns and movement to Viewer. !wait sets the rotation waiting period after a turn. It does not change anti-spam holds or clear a product-policy restriction. Runtime changes reset to the saved configuration after a restart.
For an authorized host, !stopall disables the automatic features and clears queued notices and temporary holds. Explicit FAQ and host commands remain available. It is not a native room ban or mute. If something still behaves unexpectedly, use IMVU’s script Stop control and your normal room moderation controls.
The actual room owner and CIDs you explicitly add as trusted hosts get the script’s host controls. Adding a CID gives broad host permissions; there is no limited helper role in this builder. Native IMVU moderator status and Discord roles are not imported automatically. A rotation exemption alone does not grant host commands.
Most guest replies and host confirmations are sent privately by the script. A command typed into public room chat can still be seen there. Public announcements and reminders are public by design. Do not put passwords, payment details or private conversations in your preset, guest replies or feedback report.
No. Its configured response can request a move from Presenter to Viewer and apply a temporary script hold. Viewers can still chat. Keep a human moderator available and use IMVU’s native safety controls when necessary. The beta is not a promise of automatic raid protection.
No. It compares outfits against product IDs the host has deliberately listed. No match does not prove that an outfit is shareable. It does not universally detect Peer Review status, copyright, or outfit KB. The listed-product policy can apply to hosts and the owner as well.
Check that the script is started and that you are running only one copy. Use !status and !help; optional commands depend on the features included in your generated script. Verify host authorization for host-only commands. Space commands out and allow for paced replies. If the problem remains, stop the script, preserve the error text and report the steps without private chat logs.
One event configuration using the existing builder, one saved preset and generated script, installation guidance and one revision. Access, scope and availability are confirmed before payment. Live event staffing, new custom features and ongoing support are outside this pilot. The builder remains free.
Ask about €5 setup assistance ↗Keep an untouched original. Resize or crop a copy, check the result at its intended display size, and test it on the actual product. A generated normal or shininess map is an estimate from the source image, not recovered 3D geometry. In IMVU, lighter shininess values are smoother and darker values are less reflective; inspect the result under suitable lighting.
IMVU normal and shininess map guidance ↗Use the viewer’s Copy SLurl command at the intended location and test the resulting link. A SLurl includes the region plus X, Y and Z coordinates. It is a shareable text link; a landmark is an inventory item inside Second Life. Add any relevant maturity or access information without promising that every visitor can enter.
Official SLurl and landmark guide ↗Do not assume so. IMVU’s mobile-room guide documents a 255-character description field but does not establish BBCode support. Use plain text for that field and verify it in IMVU. HTML customization belongs to supported IMVU Classic homepage panels. BBCode output is for destinations that explicitly support its tags.
IMVU mobile room description guidance ↗Some browsers restrict clipboard access. Select the text in the output box and use Ctrl+C on Windows or Command+C on Mac. On a phone, press and hold to select the text. Review any example values before sharing. Copying a template does not send a message.
