01 / PREPARE

Make the thumbnail readable

Start with the full-size source. Check the small result before you publish.

I have kept a sharp master image.Capture the actual product in clear lighting against a simple background. Keep the original; do not enlarge an old thumbnail or repeatedly resave a compressed JPEG.I am using the destination’s dimensions.IMVU Classic’s catalog image is 100 × 80 px. Studio’s Desktop/Mobile product photo is a separate image workflow. For an event or showcase, use the organiser’s stated size and format; there is no single size for every submission.The product is clear at its final size.Crop to the required aspect ratio without stretching. Keep the important details inside the crop and avoid tiny text. Export from the master once, then inspect at 100% size: can you tell what is being sold without zooming?

02 / PREPARE

Use the “invisible mannequin” technique carefully

This is a product-isolation setup, not a guaranteed button in every editor. A normal Studio mannequin is a good fallback.

My display setup keeps the product visible.Save your usual outfit first. If you already own a compatible invisible-avatar/mannequin setup, wear the item you are presenting and remove unrelated hair, accessories and effects. Check that the setup hides the body without hiding or distorting the product. If it does not, use Studio’s normal mannequin photo workflow instead.The framing shows the item honestly.Choose a simple pose and plain background. Frame the whole product and check the edges, inside surfaces and fit. If a garment includes body geometry, it may not produce a clean floating-garment image; use a visible mannequin rather than painting away parts of the product.The listing explains what is included.Label any mannequin or styling props as not included. Add a worn view when fit matters, and follow the event’s image rules. An isolated image does not replace normal product testing or IMVU’s content-rating requirements.

Make the bundle easy to understand

A buyer should know exactly what they receive before opening the shop link.

I have written an exact contents list.List each included product, variant and product ID/link. Separate included items from props and accessories used only for styling. For SL, state supported bodies and relevant permissions or unpacking instructions.The items can actually be included.Test every component together, and check availability and any dependencies. IMVU products have a setting controlling inclusion in third-party bundles; check that permission instead of assuming every catalog item can be bundled.The price and destination agree.Open the final listing with the intended viewer/account access, check the contents and displayed price, and confirm it can be purchased. A shop link is not a substitute for a specific product or bundle link when the event asks for one.

04 / PREPARE

Do the final submission pass

Thirty seconds of checking can catch a missing link or the wrong image.

The facts match everywhere.Match the product name, price, currency, dates and variant names across the image, listing and submission form. Include the event timezone if relevant; do not invent a discount or imply official event approval.The exported file is ready.Reopen the actual exported image. Verify its pixel dimensions, format and file size against the destination’s rules. Check the mobile preview as well as desktop, and keep a clearly named final file.The submission follows the organiser’s rules.Check the deadline, required fields, content rating and link access. Submit through the official process and keep the confirmation. This checklist helps preparation; it does not guarantee acceptance or sales.
