Use PNG/JPG for broad creator-tool compatibility. WebP is an optional web export. The resizer changes dimensions; it does not validate UV maps, platform material settings or file-size budgets. Animated files export a still frame.
Choose the size your project needs.
Each side is a power of two. A texture can be rectangular: 256 × 512 is as valid a power-of-two size as 512 × 512. Use the smallest dimensions that preserve enough detail for your material.
Crop to fill keeps proportions while removing the edges you choose. Force resize uses the entire image and may stretch it. Fit preserves the full image with padding. For an existing UV texture, cropping changes where details fall on the mesh; force resize may be the appropriate choice.
