Built in your world.
Ready for the next.
Export options vary with your software, destination and asset type. Build a checklist for your IMVU or Second Life workflow so you can review the relevant settings before exporting from your modeling app.
- Destination and asset-specific guidance
- Settings checklist with reference links
- Copy or download; no model upload needed
Ideal for: 3D meshers, riggers & technical artists

Start with the application you work in.
◉ Runs locally. No asset upload required.
YOUR EXPORT RECIPE
Blender 4.5 LTS → IMVU Studio

Match a known-size reference
Check scene units and the final importer dimensions against a reference object. A universal ×0.01 scale can double-convert an already correct scene.
- review
Review rotation & scale
For a simple unparented static mesh, review Ctrl+A → Rotation & Scale in Object Mode. Check modifiers afterward. Review the resulting dimensions before export.
- manual
Use the product’s Studio skeleton
Choose the matching IMVU Studio Toolkit product template and export collection. Furniture, rooms, attachments and clothing need their own hierarchy; the generic FBX dialog does not create these.
- setting
FBX baseline: selected meshes · −Z forward · Y up
Generic static export only: Scale 1.0, Apply Unit on, animation off, Add Leaf Bones off and experimental Apply Transform off. Verify orientation and size in Studio.

Materials & deformation
Preserve the material IDs/names required by your chosen product template. Verify assignments in Studio. Morphs, armatures and animation require the toolkit or a tested custom export workflow.
Review these settings in your installed software and confirm dimensions and orientation in a test import.
