From product links to a clean product showcase

Organize product links, remove duplicates and build an honest showcase layout with the browser-based Catalog XML & HTML Builder.

A product collection starts with a reliable list. Before choosing colors or columns, check that each link points to the product you intend to feature and that repeated IDs have not slipped into the list.

Build from a clear source

Open the Catalog XML & HTML Builder. Paste comma-separated IDs, labeled PIDs, official IMVU product URLs, or full Second Life Marketplace item links. The builder keeps the first occurrence of each ID on each platform and preserves your order.

Standalone numbers are treated as IMVU product IDs. For Second Life, use the full Marketplace item URL so its platform is unambiguous. Tracking query parameters and fragments are removed; equal numeric IDs from different platforms remain separate. Remove unrelated prices, years or quantities from the source text before exporting. A number with the right shape is not proof that a public catalog product exists.

Pick a layout you can read

Two columns give each card more space. Three or four columns show more items across a wider page. Test your chosen layout at the size where you expect people to view it; a dense desktop grid may need horizontal scrolling on a narrow screen.

For IMVU products, the builder can resolve names and icons from public catalog previews. When metadata is unavailable, an ID or placeholder may remain. Check each result before publishing, and use titles and imagery that accurately describe the linked product. Second Life links remain a separate platform in the export.

Choose the right export

HTML gives you a showcase section with inline styles and official IMVU or Second Life Marketplace product links. Your destination editor may remove unsupported styles, so check the pasted result there.

XML gives you structured catalog records using this tool’s documented schema: v1 for IMVU-only lists, v2 when Second Life items are included. Version 2 records identify both the platform and item ID. Download the matching schema beside the export controls. This is a portable data format for your own workflow, not an official import format for either platform.

Clear titles, relevant descriptions and working links help people understand a collection. There is no search-ranking guarantee attached to a particular layout or keyword list.
